Answers to the questions we hear most.

01

General

We work with small and mid-sized businesses that want practical AI, automation or a modern website — without the overhead, layers of account managers or long timelines of a large agency. Typical clients are founders, operations leads and marketing teams who know something is slow, manual or overdue for a rebuild, but don't have an internal team to fix it. If you're a solo operator we can still help, but our sweet spot is teams of roughly 5–200 people where a few well-placed changes free up real hours every week.

We are based in Finland and work with clients across the EU, the UK and North America, entirely remotely. Everything happens over email, short async video and scheduled calls in your timezone. When a project benefits from meeting in person we're happy to travel, but 95% of what we deliver — discovery, builds, handover, training — works better remotely and keeps costs down for you.

We reply to every enquiry within one business day, usually the same day. Once a project is live you get a direct channel (email or Slack) with response times agreed upfront — typically same business day for questions and within a few hours for anything blocking your team.

It starts with a free 20-minute call to understand what you're trying to change. If it's a fit, we send a short written proposal within a few days with scope, price and timeline. Most first engagements are small and focused — a two to four week pilot or a single automation — so you can judge the working relationship before committing to anything larger.

AI Consulting

No. The majority of our clients start with zero hands-on AI experience, and often a healthy scepticism. We handle the strategy, tool selection, implementation and — importantly — the enablement so your team knows exactly how and when to use what we build. You bring the business context; we bring the technical judgement.

Usually no, and that's deliberate. For 95% of business problems, the frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google — combined with good prompting, retrieval and a bit of custom glue code — outperform anything a small team could train, at a fraction of the cost and maintenance burden. We only recommend custom or fine-tuned models when there's a clear reason: strict data residency, specialised domain vocabulary, or cost at very high volumes.

We start from the work, not the tool. In a short discovery we map where time is spent, where errors happen and where decisions are slow. Then we score each opportunity by expected impact, effort and risk. Some end up as AI use cases, many end up as simple automations or better process — and that's a good outcome. We'd rather tell you not to use AI somewhere than sell you a project that won't pay back.

Yes. We help you put a lightweight, practical policy in place: which tools are approved, what data can and cannot go into them, how to handle customer information, and how to review AI-assisted work. The goal is to unblock your team safely — not a 40-page document nobody reads.

03

Automation

We work across most modern SaaS: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Airtable, Notion, Slack, Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, spreadsheets, and hundreds of others via APIs and platforms like Make, n8n and Zapier. If a tool has an API or a webhook, we can almost always integrate it. For the few that don't, we can often bridge with a lightweight custom script.

Yes. Everything we build belongs to you — workflows, credentials, documentation and any custom code. We build in your accounts wherever possible, and everything is documented in plain language so any competent operator (internal or external) can maintain it. There is no lock-in to us as a supplier.

Every workflow we ship includes error handling, logging and alerting so failures surface immediately rather than silently. If you're on a support plan we investigate and fix within the agreed SLA. If not, we're still reachable — you just pay by the hour for the fix. Most breakages come from upstream API changes, and we design workflows to fail loudly rather than corrupt data.

Before we build, we agree on one or two concrete metrics — hours saved per week, response time, error rate, revenue captured — and a baseline. After launch we review actual numbers, not vibes. If an automation isn't delivering, we adjust or retire it.

04

Websites

Because a website is never really finished. With a subscription your site keeps improving month after month: copy updates, new sections, design refinements, performance tuning, SEO work, security patches and framework updates are all included. You avoid the classic pattern of paying a large upfront fee, watching the site slowly go stale, and then paying again for a full rebuild two years later.

Yes. There is no long lock-in — you can cancel with 30 days' notice. If you leave you keep the code, the content, the domain and the hosting accounts. We'll hand over everything and, if you want, spend a session walking your next provider (or your internal team) through the setup.

Most sites go live within 2–6 weeks from kickoff, depending on scope and how quickly content and feedback come back from your side. We work in short cycles: a first draft is usually in front of you within the first week, and everything is built on the live staging URL so you can watch it come together.

Yes. Every site launches with technical SEO in place (metadata, structured data, sitemaps, performance), privacy-friendly analytics and fast, EU-based hosting. Ongoing SEO content and keyword strategy can be added as part of the plan or handled by your own marketing team — we make sure the foundation is solid either way.

05

Pricing & Contracts

Yes — every website plan includes a 14-day free trial so you can see the site, the process and the support before committing.

Consulting and automation are quoted as fixed-price projects after a short discovery, so you know the number before you commit — no open-ended hourly bills. Websites run on a fixed monthly plan starting at €39. For ongoing work outside those plans, our senior hourly rate is €42/hour, billed transparently in 15-minute increments.

Yes, happily. We regularly sign mutual NDAs before discovery calls when clients are working on something sensitive. If you don't have a template, we can send you a short, plain-English one to start from.

Projects are typically split 50% on kickoff and 50% on delivery, with larger projects broken into milestones. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. We invoice in EUR by default and can accept USD or GBP on request. All invoices are issued by Terho Solutions (Finnish Business ID 3586226-8) and are VAT-compliant.

Yes. We offer reduced rates for registered non-profits and for pre-revenue startups on a case-by-case basis. Just mention it in your first message and we'll be upfront about what we can do.

06

Data & GDPR

In EU regions wherever practical. For hosting, databases and file storage we default to European data centres (typically Frankfurt, Stockholm or Ireland). For AI providers we prefer options with contractual EU data residency and zero-retention modes. Where an EU-only option genuinely doesn't exist, we tell you clearly and document the trade-off before anything goes live.

No. Your data is never used to train our systems or anyone else's. We work exclusively with AI providers that contractually guarantee inputs and outputs are not used for training, and we configure zero-retention where the provider supports it. Sensitive fields can additionally be redacted or tokenised before ever reaching an AI provider.

Yes. We sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), maintain a record of sub-processors, and design every automation and website with GDPR principles built in — lawful basis, minimum necessary data, clear retention, and the right to access or delete. If you have a specific compliance framework (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA-adjacent workflows), tell us early and we'll design around it.

You keep it. All accounts, workflows and content live in your infrastructure or accounts you own. On offboarding we hand over credentials, export any data we hold on your behalf and, on request, permanently delete our copies within 30 days — with written confirmation.
